Ingredients

Utensils

  • Fork
  • Medium Casserole
  • Fry pan

For the meat

  • 1 pound beef
  • 1 beff stock cube
  • 2 laurel leaves
  • Black pepper and salt to taste

For the sauce

  • 1 big onion
  • 2 or 3 cloves of garlic
  • ½ teaspoon powder cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano( fresh oregano or powder)
  • ½ red wine
  • 1/8 dry wine
  • ½ cup tomato paste
  • Oil

Way of Elaboration

The first step is to make the meat tender in a Casserole or in a cook pressure for about 30 minutes or until it gets very tender to flake it easier, to do it, add some salt to the water to cover three inches over the meat height.

After these 30 minutes, we check if the meat is ready by using a fork, if when we prick the meat, the fork gets sink easily, is that it is already ready as we want.

Later drain the meat and place it in a container untill gets cold.  You can keep the clear soup to use it in other saucer.

Later we take two forks to string it well and reserve it.

For the sauce, cut the onion into small pieces, crush the cloves of garlic well and saute them for 30 second in a hot fry pan with only a teaspoon of oil.

After that, add the rest ingredients to the lightly onion, the cumin, oregano, red wine, dry wine and tomato paste, stir them well untill get everything well mixed for about ½ minute.

Finally add the flaked meat and cover it well with the sauce, then cook it over a low heat for some second and check if salt is to your taste.

Now your delicious stewed meat in tomato sauce is ready to enjoy it as you please and to pamper the palate.
