In order to prepare this recipe, we only need a few ingredients, including the ones needed to make the breading.
Thus, there are two ways of preparing it: one using just flour and eggs and the other using breadcrumbs as well.
We particularly prefer the second one, because the breadcrumbs give an incomparable crunchy texture.
A trick to strengthen the flavor of the breadcrumbs and therefore the final result, is a teaspoon of garlic powder or dry parsley.
This is in case you like it or you can’t get it this way, since you can find some packets at the supermarket which include this combination.
On the other hand, something that has worked quite well for us is to spread some olive oil to both sides of the chicken breast steak, but just a few drops, because in this way not only will you avoid getting it too dry but also it will give it a lot of flavor.

- 2 chicken breasts
- 2 garlic cloves or a teaspoon of garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- Salt and pepper as desired
- Oil for frying
For the breaded
- 2 eggs
- A cup of wheat flour
- A cup of breadcrumbs
Prepare homemade breaded chicken breast
Cut the breasts in half, beat them a little to flatten them a little, but be careful not to break them.
Crush the garlic very well until you get a kind of paste, mix with the oil, the salt and the pepper.
Spread this mixture on both sides of the chicken breasts and set aside.
In a bowl, beat the eggs, in another one put the flour and in a third one put the breadcrumbs.
Pass each chicken through each one of the three bowls, first the flour, shaking to remove the excess, then the beaten eggs, and lastly the breadcrumbs.
Fry them in a frying pan with enough hot oil on medium heat until they’re brown on both sides.
Take them out of the hot oil, drain them, and place them on cooking paper so it absorbs the extra grease.
